Air Filter| Automotive Blessings 2 Marietta

Your car's air filter is an important component of your vehicle's engine system. It prevents dirt, and debris from entering the engine. In this blog, we'll discuss the importance of a clean air filter

What is an air filter?

Before diving into the importance of a clean air filter, let's first understand what it is. An air filter is a component that prevents dirt and dust from entering the engine. It does this by trapping the contaminants before they can get into the engine.

Why is a clean air filter important?

  • A dirty air filter can restrict airflow to the engine, which can cause a decrease in engine performance. This can result in poor acceleration, reduced horsepower, and decreased fuel efficiency.
  • A clean air filter can help prolong the life of your engine. When contaminants enter the engine, they can cause damage to the internal components. A clean air filter helps prevent this damage from occurring.

Conclusion:

A clean air filter is an important component of your car's engine system. It helps improve engine performance, prolong engine life, and improve air quality inside the car.  It's

important to have your air filter checked and replaced regularly.

Yes, it is recommended to change the transmission fluid as routine maintenance. Transmission fluid plays a critical role in lubricating and cooling the parts inside the transmission . Over time, the fluid can break down, become contaminated and lose its effectiveness. Changing the fluid Flushes out these contaminants. Clean fluid keeps the shifting smooth, maintains performance and extends the life of the transmission. Not changing the fluid can lead to issues such as slipping, increased heat, and transmission failure.

Not changing the power steering fluid in your vehicle can lead to several issues: Contaminated Fluid: Fluid can become contaminated with dirt, and metal particles. They can build up and damage the system, such as the pump, rack and pinion, and seals. Reduced Performance: As the fluid gets older, its lubricating ability is less. This results in more friction and wear within the system. You may experience hard turning, or a whining noise. Component Damage: The pump will have higher temperatures due to dirty fluid. This can lead to wear and failure of the pump. Seals within the system can get hard, causing them to leak.

Freon With Sealant | Automotive Blessings 2 Marietta

Freon with sealant is not good for your A/C System. If you think about what the Sealant is designed to do it is easy to see why it should never be used. The Sealant in Freon is designed to seal holes from a leak. In the purpose of its design, it works. When introduced to the A/C System it acts on the presence of moisture and hardens up to plug a leak. The problem with that is if the A/C System has a leak then it already has moisture in the system. When the Sealant meets the moisture in the System it starts to harden and plug any holes it can. The Orifice Tube and Expansion Valve both have small holes that allow Freon to enter the Evaporator. Once those holes are plugged, they must be replaced along with the rest of the A/C System. The sealant cannot be flushed out. This will lead to very costly repairs that were not needed before the Sealant was added to the System. Before you run into the part store to get that can of Freon have the car looked at to get the repair done right. Save the money of replacing parts that did not need to replaced.
